Belarusian Leader Arrives in Kazakhstan for High-Stakes Eurasian Talks

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has arrived in Kazakhstan's capital Astana on a working visit ahead of key Eurasian integration talks and discussions on artificial intelligence cooperation.

Earlier, it was announced that the Belarusian leader would take part in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) summit and the 5th Eurasian Economic Forum in Kazakhstan’s capital, The Caspian Post reports via Belta.

On May 28, Lukashenko is expected to address the plenary session, where he will outline Belarus’ position on technological cooperation within the EAEU and the use of artificial intelligence in the real sector of the economy. Belarusian media reported that he will also share examples of the country’s domestic experience in AI development and implementation.

The EAEU summit will bring together the presidents of Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, while Armenia will be represented by its deputy prime minister.

The member states are also expected to adopt a joint statement on the responsible development of artificial intelligence within the Eurasian Economic Union framework.
