Cambodia’s PM to Visit Azerbaijan, Türkiye and Kazakhstan for CICA Summit

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet will visit Azerbaijan, Türkiye and Kazakhstan, including attending the 7th Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) in Baku.

The country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation said Hun Manet will be accompanied by First Lady Pich Chanmony and a high-level delegation. The delegation will include Minister of Education, Youth and Sport Hang Chuon Naron, as well as representatives of Cambodia’s Chamber of Commerce, according to Cambodia’s Khmer Times.

On October 15, Hun Manet is scheduled to attend the CICA summit, where leaders will discuss the theme “A Stronger CICA: Connectivity, Digitalization and Sustainable Growth in Asia.”

Bilateral meetings with leaders of CICA member states are also planned, with a focus on strengthening diplomatic and economic ties.

The following day, the Cambodian prime minister will travel to Türkiye for talks with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on regional and international issues.

On October 17, Hun Manet will visit Kazakhstan for official talks with the country’s senior leadership aimed at expanding bilateral cooperation.

The diplomatic tour is expected to provide fresh momentum to Cambodia’s partnerships with Azerbaijan, Türkiye and Kazakhstan.
