Centrum Air Opens New Route Connecting Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan

Travel between northern Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan is becoming easier as a new direct air route connects Kostanay and Tashkent for the first time.

On June 13, 2026, Uzbekistan’s Centrum Air will launch regular flights on the Kostanay-Tashkent-Kostanay route, marking a new chapter in regional connectivity, The Caspian Post reports via Kazinform.

The inaugural flight will arrive at Akhmet Baiturssynuly International Airport in Kostanay, providing travelers with a faster and more convenient link between the two countries.

The new service is expected to boost business activity, tourism and cultural exchanges while improving transport accessibility for residents and businesses in the Kostanay region.

Airport chairman Askar Bekbossynov described the launch as an important milestone for both the airport and the wider region, highlighting its potential to strengthen economic and people-to-people ties.

The route is part of a broader expansion of Kazakhstan’s international air network, following the recent launch of direct flights between Kazakhstan and Mongolia.
