College Teacher Fires at Student in Kazakhstan VIDEO

A teacher at a college in Almaty, Kazakhstan, has been dismissed after firing a shot from a training weapon during a class, an incident that sparked public concern and an internal investigation.

The episode occurred at the College of Architecture, Design and Engineering in Almaty. Video circulating online shows the instructor aiming a weapon in the direction of students and pulling the trigger, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

In a statement to media, the college administration acknowledged violations of pedagogical ethics and safety regulations. Officials clarified that during informal interaction with the group, the teacher fired a training air rifle loaded with cotton rather than standard ammunition, and no one was injured.

“The actions were not part of the teaching process or a form of punishment,” the administration said.

Following an internal review, the instructor was dismissed for breaching professional ethics and safety protocols. Authorities have not reported any criminal charges related to the incident.
