A major boost for Central Asia’s trade and logistics sector is on the horizon as Emirates SkyCargo, the freight division of Emirates, prepares to launch dedicated cargo flights to Kazakhstan.
Starting June 16, 2026, the Dubai-based carrier will begin operating weekly Boeing 777F freighter services to Almaty International Airport, marking the company's first cargo destination in Central Asia, The Caspian Post reports via 1prime.ru.
The new route is expected to strengthen trade links between the region and global markets, providing businesses with faster and more efficient access to Emirates SkyCargo’s worldwide logistics network.
According to the airline, the Almaty service will create a new trade corridor connecting Central Asia with key international markets through Dubai, one of the world's largest cargo and distribution hubs.
