Tolkyn Zabirova, the celebrated pop and opera singer and Honored Artist of Kazakhstan, has captivated audiences at her jubilee concert titled “Ömirge gashyqpyn” (In Love with Life) held at the Palace of Peace and Accord in Kazakhstan's capital Astana.
During the event, Minister of Culture and Information Aida Balayeva read out a congratulatory message from President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, who praised the singer’s artistry and lasting impact on the nation’s cultural life, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
“You are one of the brightest representatives of Kazakh art, an artist with a unique voice. Your natural talent and tireless dedication greatly enrich our country’s cultural and spiritual heritage,” the message said.
President Tokayev also noted that thanks to her refined education and noble character, Zabirova has earned deep respect among audiences at home and abroad.
Known for her distinctive voice that blends Eastern softness with the strength of the steppe wind, Zabirova performed a stunning program featuring Kazakh classics, original compositions, and international hits such as Adagio, Per Amore, Per Te, and Vechnaia Liubov.
Earlier this year, the artist was honored with the Order of Parasat for her significant contribution to Kazakhstan’s cultural heritage.
The concert added to Astana’s vibrant cultural season, following a recent event marking the 80th anniversary of the United Nations, which celebrated music, history, and global cooperation.
