Kazakhstan, EU Explore New Horizons for Cooperation

Kazakh Foreign Minister Yermek Kosherbayev has held talks with Aleška Simkić, Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Kazakhstan, to discuss ways to deepen Kazakhstan-EU cooperation and strengthen connectivity within the “Central Asia - EU” format.

During the meeting, both sides praised the high level of political dialogue and the steady growth of bilateral relations, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

Kosherbayev highlighted the importance of consistently implementing the Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement (EPCA), marking its 10th anniversary this year.

The discussion covered a wide range of topics, including the development of transport and logistics corridors, the green transition, digitalization, and efforts to improve Kazakhstan’s business climate.

In turn, Simkić emphasized the advanced and strategic nature of EU-Kazakhstan relations, reaffirming the EU’s readiness to further enhance cooperation for the country’s sustainable development.

Both sides concluded the meeting by confirming their commitment to mutually beneficial collaboration and maintaining an active dialogue through upcoming visits and joint initiatives.
