The documentary “Les Cités Perdues de Gengis Khan” (The Lost Cities of Chinggis Khaan) is set to premiere in Mongolia.
Produced through a collaboration between a French media company, French historian Marie Favereau-an expert on the Mongol Empire and the Golden Horde-and international archaeologists, the film uncovers the secrets of the lost cities of the Mongol Empire and presents a new perspective on the legacy of Chinggis Khaan for audiences worldwide, The Caspian Post informs via Kazakh media.
The Mongolian premiere will take place at Tengis Cinema on September 20, 2025, at 4 p.m., with the documentary screened in French with Mongolian subtitles. Admission will be free. Historian Marie Favereau and the participating archaeologists are expected to attend to engage with viewers and discuss the film.
