Germany Turns to Kazakhstan as Demand for Critical Resources Grows

Kazakhstan is set to host German Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy Katherina Reiche later this month as the two countries seek to deepen trade, investment, and industrial cooperation.

Reiche will visit Astana on June 29-30, while Parliamentary State Secretary Stefan Rouenhoff is scheduled to arrive earlier, on June 15-16, The Caspian Post reports via Kazinform.

During the visits, German officials are expected to hold talks with Kazakhstan’s leadership and senior government representatives, focusing on strengthening economic ties and advancing joint projects.

Key topics on the agenda include cooperation in the energy sector, industrial development, investment opportunities, and the supply of critical raw materials, an area of growing strategic importance for both countries.
