Kazakh FM Takes Part in High-Level CSTO Joint Session

Kazakh Foreign Minister Yermek Kosherbayev has taken part in a joint meeting of the CSTO Council of Foreign Ministers, Council of Defense Ministers, and the Committee of Security Council Secretaries.

Kazakhstan was represented by Security Council Secretary Gizat Nurdauletov and Defense Minister Dauren Kossanov, The Caspian Post informs via Kazakh media.

During the meeting, participants exchanged views on key international and regional security challenges. They also reviewed the CSTO’s work over the past year and outlined priority areas for 2026.

In his address, Kosherbayev presented Kazakhstan’s vision for strengthening cooperation within the CSTO and put forward several proposals to enhance the Organization’s future activities.

The joint meeting approved the agenda and draft documents for the upcoming session of the CSTO Collective Security Council.

The next CSTO Collective Security Council session is scheduled to take place in Moscow on November 11, 2026.
