President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has met with Sung Kyung Kim, Honorary Chairman of the Woosong Educational Foundation, praising the establishment of the Woosong University branch in Turkistan for meeting the highest international education standards.
He stressed that the campus represents not only a significant educational initiative but also a symbol of strengthened cultural and academic cooperation between Kazakhstan and South Korea, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
Sung Kyung Kim, in response, noted that Woosong University, recognized as a leading center for science and education in Asia and worldwide, will contribute to the development of Kazakhstan’s intellectual and human capital.
The meeting also covered key initiatives to enhance human resource development, improve education quality, and train highly skilled engineers and specialists in information technology and artificial intelligence.
Earlier, President Tokayev met with Vladimir Shevchenko, rector of MEPhI, to discuss further avenues for academic collaboration.
