Artists from Kazakhstan secured top honors in the international oral professional music competition at the 1st World Festival of Traditional Culture and Music - Rukh Sanat, held near Lake Issyk-Kul, Kyrgyzstan.
The event brought together soloists and ensembles from 13 countries, including Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Russia, Japan, India, Egypt, South Korea, Poland, Bangladesh, Estonia, Hungary, and Nepal, showcasing a rich tapestry of musical and cultural heritage, The Caspian Post reports per Kazakh media.
In the solo performance category, Kazakh singer Saltanat Kairatkyzy and Russia’s Dongak Naidan shared first-place honors. Among ensembles, Kazakhstan’s Tengri Saz and Russia’s Kharaacha were recognized as the best creative groups.
Additionally, Kazakhstan’s Kausar Group received a special diploma from the international jury for its exceptional role in preserving and promoting traditional culture and music.
Organizers emphasized the festival’s significance as a cross-cultural platform, facilitating artistic exchange and dialogue while celebrating the intangible cultural heritage of participating nations.
