Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov has emphasized the transformative potential of artificial intelligence in the railway sector, highlighting its ability to assess emergency risks, monitor track and rolling stock wear, and propose effective solutions.
Bektenov stressed the ongoing digitalization of the railways, including the implementation of automated control systems, digital traffic management, and integrated information systems, The Caspian Post informs via Kazakh media.
He also noted the recent launch of a supercomputer cluster in Astana, capable of processing vast amounts of data and producing high-quality analytics to support decision-making.
"It is crucial that AI technologies and innovative startups are introduced across all sectors of the economy, including railways," the prime minister said.
Earlier reports indicated that 100 railway stations are set to be renovated by the end of the year, underscoring the government’s commitment to modernizing Kazakhstan’s transport infrastructure and enhancing service quality.
