Kazakh First Deputy Prime Minister Nurlybek Nalibayev met on Wednesday with Chinese Ambassador Han Chunlin.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the current state of Kazakhstan-China cooperation in industry, construction, and energy, the progress of joint initiatives, and promising areas for further strengthening bilateral ties, The Caspian Post reports, citing the prime minister's press office.

Nurlybek Nalibayev emphasized the strategic nature of Kazakhstan-China relations and the significant potential for expanding cooperation.

He stressed the importance of moving beyond simply increasing trade volumes toward improving the structure of trade, as well as expanding mutual trade in value-added goods, machinery, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and light industry products, according to the Government.

Han Chunlin praised the pace of bilateral relations and noted the high-level visits that have taken place this year. He reaffirmed China's commitment to further developing the mutually beneficial partnership.

The two sides agreed to maintain contacts on key bilateral issues.
