Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has appointed Yerzhan Kazykhan, the country’s permanent representative to the United Nations in Geneva, as his personal representative for negotiations with the US.
Kazykhan’s new role involves handling key issues of bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and the US, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
Previously, in 2023, Kazykhan was appointed presidential aide on international affairs, underscoring his experience in diplomatic and multilateral negotiations.
