Kazakh President Offers Deep Condolences After Tragic House Fire

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has expressed deep condolences after a devastating fire claimed 12 lives in a two-storey private home in the Zhetysai district of Turkistan region.

The blaze broke out early in the morning in a house in the village of Algabas, engulfing 360 square meters before being fully extinguished. Authorities confirmed that 12 people, including 9 children, died in the tragedy, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

Emergency crews managed to rescue three people, who were found unconscious and immediately transferred to medical teams.

President Tokayev has ordered the Government and regional administration to provide full support to the victims’ families and to launch a thorough investigation into the cause of the fire.
