Kazakh President Showcases Support for AI Innovation at Astana Tech Exhibition

Kazakh President Kassym‑Jomart Tokayev has toured an exhibition of leading digital solutions in Astana, held in conjunction with the Council for AI Development session.

The event showcased projects from some of Kazakhstan’s foremost companies and institutions, including USTM Foundation, Freedom Bank, Yandex Qazaqstan, Kaspi Bank, Kazakhtelecom, Eurasian Bank, the Baiterek National Managing Holding, and Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, among others, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

Exhibit highlights span multiple sectors: education, culture, logistics, and smart city technology. Local innovations-like generative AI platforms, online tourism services, B2B automation tools, and a domestically developed messenger app from AITU-were among those on display.

In the realm of transportation, firms demonstrated AI‑based systems for management of transit operations and unveiled a 5G‑powered telecommunications environment designed for next‑generation connectivity.

These developments follow remarks by Minister of AI and Digital Development Zhaslan Madiyev, who has identified infrastructure build‑out and human capital development as twin priorities for Kazakhstan’s AI strategy.
