Kazakh President to Attend CSTO Summit in Bishkek This Week

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev is set to visit Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, on November 26-27 to take part in the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Council of Heads of State meeting.

The CSTO summit, scheduled for November 27, will bring together leaders from member states to discuss regional security challenges and cooperation. The session is expected to adopt a joint declaration outlining the consolidated positions of member countries on pressing security issues, The Caspian Post informs via Kazakh media.

In addition, the CSTO Secretary-General candidate for 2026-2029 will be considered, and priorities for Russia’s upcoming chairmanship in 2026 are likely to be announced, according to the organization’s press service.
