Kyrgyzstan's capital Bishkek is set to host the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) summit on November 27, where leaders will focus on enhancing cooperation to maintain regional stability and counter terrorist threats and extremism.
The CSTO Secretariat will review current international and regional security challenges and summarize the organization’s recent activities, The Caspian Post informs via Kyrgyz media.
In addition, Kyrgyzstan will nominate a candidate for the post of CSTO secretary general, following the rotation procedure for the leadership of the organization’s governing bodies.
A Declaration of the CSTO Collective Security Council is also expected to be adopted, outlining an assessment of global security dynamics and the organization’s strategies for strengthening peace and stability in the region.
Russian President Vladimir Putin is confirmed to attend the summit, highlighting the event’s significance in fostering collaboration among member states.
