Kazakh tennis player Elena Rybakina delivered a strong performance to defeat Hailey Baptiste in the second round of the 2025 Canadian Open, officially known as the National Bank Open presented by Rogers, in Montreal, Canada.

Rybakina secured the victory in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3, in a competitive match that lasted one hour and 13 minutes, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kazakh media.

Looking ahead, the Kazakh star is set to face Romania’s Jaqueline Cristian in the third round as she aims to continue her progress in the prestigious tournament.
