Kazakhstan, Austria Seek Stronger Ties in Politics, Economy, and Culture

Kazakh Foreign Minister Yermek Kosherbayev has met with Austrian Ambassador Andrea Bacher to discuss deepening bilateral cooperation.

The officials emphasized the importance of expanding Kazakhstan-Austria relations across political, economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres, highlighting the role of the Intergovernmental Commission and the Business Council in boosting trade and investment, The Caspian Post informs via Kazakh media.

Kosherbayev pointed to opportunities for collaboration in energy, mechanical engineering, agriculture, and infrastructure, while Ambassador Bacher stressed Austria’s interest in maintaining dynamic bilateral and multilateral engagement with Kazakhstan.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening dialogue and mutually beneficial cooperation through upcoming visits and joint initiatives.

Earlier, Kazakhstan’s Special Presidential Representative for Afghanistan, Yerkin Tukumov, visited Brussels to participate in the 7th EU-Central Asia Special Representatives Meeting on Afghanistan, underscoring Kazakhstan’s active regional diplomacy.
