Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has awarded the country’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Alim Bayel, with the Order of “Kurmet” in recognition of his significant contribution to strengthening bilateral relations.
On behalf of President Tokayev, the award was presented by Kazakh Foreign Minister Yermek Kosherbayev, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

In his address, the minister highlighted the strategic partnership and close cooperation between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, emphasizing that mutual trust and shared goals continue to drive progress in various fields.
Bayel expressed gratitude for the high honor, noting that the embassy will continue its active efforts to advance Kazakhstan’s foreign policy priorities and further strengthen the allied relationship between the two nations.
Additionally, the Order of “Kurmet” was presented to Azerbaijani businessman Amil Yusifov for his charitable contributions. Yusifov provided apartments to the families of Kazakh citizens who died in the AZAL plane crash near Aktau, and donated vehicles to rescue services, a local hospital, and an ambulance station in the city.
The “Kurmet” Order is one of Kazakhstan’s most respected state honors, awarded for achievements in public service, international cooperation, and humanitarian work.
