Kazakhstan Braces for Rain as Temperatures Set to Drop

Kazakhstan is set to experience cooler temperatures and increased rainfall over the coming days.

According to the forecast, a slow-moving cyclone will continue influencing weather patterns across the country, bringing widespread rain and cooler conditions. Northern and eastern regions can expect scattered heavy showers, with hail possible in some areas, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kazakh media.

This weather shift marks a break from recent heatwaves, with the cyclone’s effects expected to persist until early August.

On August 2, a northern anticyclone is expected to move in, replacing the cyclone and bringing an end to precipitation in many areas. As a result, daytime temperatures in northern Kazakhstan are forecast to drop to between 15°C and 20°C, significantly cooler than seasonal averages.
