Kazakhstan Confirms Death of Missing Citizen in US

Kazakhstan’s Foreign Ministry has confirmed the death of Kazakh citizen Aset Kuralbay, who had been reported missing in the US since early June.

US authorities officially identified the deceased as 24-year-old Aset Kuralbay following the completion of the necessary procedures, The Caspian Post reports via Kazinform.

The Kazakh Foreign Ministry expressed its condolences to the family and loved ones of the young man, describing the loss as a profound tragedy.

Kazakh diplomats are maintaining close contact with US authorities and the victim’s relatives. The ministry said consular assistance is being provided, including support with documentation and arrangements for the repatriation of the body to Kazakhstan.

Earlier reports indicated that a body believed to belong to a Kazakh citizen had been discovered in the US. Following official identification, authorities confirmed that the deceased was Aset Kuralbay.
