Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Energy is revising export routes for oil from the Kashagan field following drone attacks on the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) infrastructure.
Part of the oil volumes will be sent to China, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
The ministry confirmed that exports have not fully stopped, with shipments continuing through existing port facilities under strict safety measures. Authorities are working with shippers to redistribute volumes and monitor the situation closely.
The attack occurred on November 29 at Novorossiysk port, when unmanned boats destroyed a remote mooring device (SPM-2). Kazakhstan’s government and Ministry of Foreign Affairs have taken the incident under special control, lodging a formal protest on November 30.
