Kazakhstan’s Foreign Minister Mukhtar Tileuberdi met with European Commissioner for International Partnerships Jozef Síkela on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.

The meeting focused on key issues in bilateral relations, opportunities to expand trade and economic cooperation, and promising areas of partnership, including the implementation of agreements reached during the Kazakh president's visit to Brussels earlier this year, The Caspian Post reports, citing the country's Foreign Ministry.

The sides also discussed advancing joint projects in transport and logistics, energy, digitalization and investment.

Particular attention was given to the significant potential of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route and cooperation within the European Union’s Global Gateway initiative.
