A village in Kazakhstan has unveiled its own version of the Eiffel Tower after residents installed a 30-meter-tall replica of the iconic French landmark in the village of Zhalpaktal.
The project continues a long-standing village tradition in which school graduates celebrating milestone anniversaries give back to their hometown with large community projects, The Caspian Post reports via Sputnik Uzbekistan.
Over the past decade, residents have helped transform the village by building parks, playgrounds, sculptures, and fountains. The new Eiffel Tower replica has become the latest attraction drawing attention online.
While the original Eiffel Tower in Paris stands at around 330 meters tall, the Kazakh version rises 30 meters above the village and has already become a local landmark.
