Kazakhstan Opens Doors in Bali for Trade, Tourism, and Cultural Exchange

Kazakhstan has opened a new Honorary Consulate in Denpasar, Bali, in a move to deepen its partnership with Indonesia across trade, tourism, investment, and cultural sectors.

The opening ceremony was led by Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to Indonesia, Serzhan Abdykarimov, and newly appointed Honorary Consul, prominent Balinese businessman I Putu Winastra, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kazakh media.

The event gathered Kazakh citizens, local government officials, business representatives, and media. After the national anthems and flag-raising ceremony, Abdykarimov highlighted the significance of the new consulate, calling it a testament to the strong bilateral commitment between Astana and Jakarta. He emphasized the consulate's role in facilitating broader cooperation and people-to-people connections.

Bali Provincial Tourism Office Head I Wayan Sumarajaya welcomed the initiative, citing growing trade and tourism ties and expressing support for Kazakhstan’s diplomatic expansion.

Honorary Consul I Putu Winastra expressed gratitude for the appointment and reaffirmed his readiness to support bilateral initiatives and assist Kazakh nationals and businesses in Indonesia.

The ceremony concluded with a showcase of multimedia presentations highlighting Kazakhstan’s modern achievements, historical legacy, and tourism appeal.
