Kazakhstan Ratifies Agreement on Plant Quarantine and Protection with Türkiye

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has signed the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Türkiye on cooperation in the field of plant quarantine and protection."

Earlier, the Senate of the Kazakh Parliament approved ratification of the Agreement between the governments of Kazakhstan and Türkiye on cooperation in plant quarantine and protection, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kazinform.

The document aims at improvement of quarantine measures and development of relations in this area.

“The agreement provides for exchange of regulatory legal acts, the national list of harmful quarantine organisms and other regulations, development of cooperation between the scientific-research institutions and organizations in the field of plant quarantine and their protection. The document also sets a requirement for imported goods, phytosanitary certification and transit of cargo,” senator Yernur Aitkenov said presenting the document
