Kazakhstan's Astana to Host Week of National Animated Films Soon

The Week of National Animated Films will be held in Kazakhstan's capital Astana from October 20 to 24.

The event is organized by the Kazakhanimation Creative Alliance in cooperation with the Shaken Aimanov Kazakhfilm Studio, The Caspian Post informs via Kazakh media.

The festival will feature a selection of the best works of Kazakh animation, including digitally restored classics and new productions, highlighting the artistic achievements and creative development of the country’s animation industry.

According to the organizers, the program aims to showcase the vision of Kazakh directors and promote national animated cinema to a wider audience.

Screenings will take place at the Kazakhstan Central Concert Hall, starting daily at 4:00 p.m. (GMT+5). Admission is free.

Earlier, it was announced that the first animated film dedicated to the football club Kairat will be released in Kazakh, English, and Chinese.

Meanwhile, the Kazakh animated film “Altyn Adam” recently won the Audience Award at the Children’s Film Festival in Jordan, marking another success for the country’s animation sector.
