Chairman of the Aerospace Committee under the Kazakh Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development Baubek Oralmagambetov has announced that Kazakhstan is preparing to send another national into space, with authorities conducting extensive ground-based experiments to support the mission.
“We’ve had three astronauts who completed five scientific programs across five spaceflights. The public keeps asking about the next mission. While other areas of space research are important, manned spaceflight remains the face of our space program,” Oralmagambetov said, The Caspian Post reports via Russian media.
He highlighted that last year, Kazakhstan began a ground experiment testing long-term isolation in a specialized capsule with a four-woman crew. “We hope to continue these experiments this year and share the results with experts. This work could form the foundation for future missions. Ground experiments are actively ongoing in Kazakhstan,” he added.
