Kazakhstan to Host Second EU Visa Talks to Ease Travel

Kazakhstan is set to host the second round of EU-Kazakhstan visa facilitation talks in 2026.

Spokesman for the Kazakh Foreign Ministry Aibek Smadiyarov said the talks will focus on reducing the number of required documents-currently estimated at 20-30 for a single European visa-and lowering application fees, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

“These efforts will make travel easier for ordinary citizens and strengthen business and cultural ties with the EU,” Smadiyarov added. The timeline for reaching a decision between Kazakhstan and EU partners remains unclear.
