Kazakh Deputy Minister of Industry and Construction Rakhymzhan Isakulov has confirmed Kazakhstan's readiness to host the 3rd Meeting of Ministers of Industry, Science, Technology, and Innovation of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Astana in 2026.
Isakulov made these remarks during the 2nd Meeting of Ministers of Industry, Science, Technology, and Innovation of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Baku, The Caspian Post reports via local media.
“Kazakhstan is ready to hold this important event at a high level and continue the constructive and substantive agenda of our meetings. Cooperation within the OTS framework has strategic significance for promoting sustainable development, competitiveness, and technological sovereignty among member states,” Isakulov said.
He added that the upcoming forum may result in the update and approval of the Action Plan for Industrial, Technological, and Innovative Cooperation for 2025-2026, reflecting strategic goals for building a shared industrial-technological space and incorporating expert recommendations.
Azerbaijan’s Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov welcomed Kazakhstan’s proposal, confirming that the next ministers’ meeting will indeed be held in Astana.
The announcement highlights the growing commitment of Turkic states to deepen cooperation in industry, science, and technology, reinforcing regional integration and innovation-driven development.
