Kazakhstan and the United Arab Emirates have launched their first consultations between the foreign ministries’ international law departments.
The talks brought together Dastan Suleimenov, Director of Kazakhstan’s International Legal Department, and his Emirati counterpart, Abdullah Hamdan Alnaqbi, The Caspian Post informs via Kazakh media.
During the meeting, both sides reviewed the current treaty and legal framework and mapped out plans to expand it. The delegations also exchanged views on the global legal agenda and shared best practices on drafting and concluding international agreements.
The diplomats agreed to continue joint work and hold their next round of consultations in Astana.
Earlier, Kazakh Foreign Minister Yermek Kosherbayev met with Armenian Ambassador Armen Gevondyan as part of ongoing diplomatic engagements.
