Kazakhstan is in active discussions with the United Kingdom over potentially simplifying visa procedures, a move that could significantly boost travel, education, and business ties.
Lawmaker Saken Arubayev highlighted the current imbalance: British citizens can visit Kazakhstan visa-free for up to 30 days, while Kazakh travelers must apply for a visa in advance to enter the UK, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
Deputy Foreign Minister Arman Issetov confirmed that negotiations are underway, with a gradual plan to ease restrictions.
Initial changes may focus on key groups:
Students
Academic staff
Official delegations
Business representatives
Ongoing Diplomatic Talks
Discussions are continuing at multiple levels, including ministries, diplomats, and ambassadors from both countries.
