Money transfer service Korona Pay has suspended transfers from Russia to Kazakhstan and Georgia.

Users attempting to send money to either country through the Korona Pay app are now receiving error messages, while the platform has reportedly removed most of its international transfer destinations, The Caspian Post reports via Meduza.io.

At present, the service continues to support money transfers from Russia to only four countries: Uzbekistan, Türkiye, Kyrgyzstan, and Azerbaijan.

The reported changes come amid the European Union's sanctions regime, which has affected a range of financial services and cross-border payment operations involving Russia.

Korona Pay has not publicly detailed the reasons for the suspension, but the move marks another significant change for users who rely on the platform for international remittances.
