Travel between Uzbekistan and Pakistan is set to become easier as Centrum Air launches direct flights between Tashkent and Karachi starting September 3, 2026.

The new service will operate twice a week, on Thursdays and Saturdays, creating a direct link between Uzbekistan’s capital and Pakistan’s largest commercial and port city, The Caspian Post reports via UzA.

Centrum Air says the route will strengthen its growing network across Central and South Asia while opening new opportunities for business, tourism, and cultural exchange between the two countries.

Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Alisher Tukhtayev, described the launch as another milestone in improving transport connectivity. He noted that just 20 months ago there were no direct flights between Uzbekistan and Pakistan.

With the addition of the Karachi service, the two countries will now be connected by eight weekly flights-four to Lahore, two to Islamabad, and two to Karachi-highlighting the rapid expansion of bilateral ties and making travel more convenient for passengers.

The new route reflects the deepening strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Pakistan as both countries continue to expand regional connectivity.

Kazakhstan's FlyArystan will also launch direct Almaty-Urgench-Almaty flights beginning September 3.
