Uzbekistan has extradited three internationally wanted suspects from Türkiye in a joint operation involving Interpol, Turkish law enforcement, and the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul.

Police officers tracked down the fugitives in Istanbul, where they had been hiding. After their arrest, the suspects were transferred to Uzbekistan and handed over to the country's law enforcement agencies, The Caspian Post reports via UzDaily.

The extradited individuals include a 28-year-old man from the Samarkand region wanted on charges of a serious sexual offense, a 34-year-old suspect from the Bukhara region accused of fraud, and a 50-year-old man from Tashkent facing charges of large-scale fraud.

Uzbekistan's National Central Bureau of Interpol said the operation was made possible through close cooperation between Uzbek and Turkish authorities, as well as the rapid exchange of intelligence that helped locate and detain the fugitives.
