Minister: Russia Remains Kazakhstan’s Key Trade Partner

Kazakh Industry and Construction Minister Yersayin Nagaspayev has said that Russia continues to be a key trade and economic partner of Kazakhstan, accounting for around 20% of the country’s total foreign trade turnover.

The minister said bilateral trade between the two countries amounted to $26.8 billion, reflecting strong and sustained economic cooperation, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

Currently, about 180 joint projects with Russian companies are being implemented in Kazakhstan, with a combined value of approximately $55 billion.

Over the past 20 years, Russian investment in Kazakhstan has reached around $30 billion, while Kazakhstan’s investments in Russia total approximately $10 billion.
