The police officers in Atyrau Region are investigating the discovery of objects resembling fragments of an unmanned aerial vehicle, marking the second such incident in western Kazakhstan within some days.

According to the regional police department, officers together with relevant services are conducting checks after the items were found outside a populated area. Officials emphasized that all circumstances surrounding the discovery are still being established, The Caspian Post reports via Russian media.

This follows a similar case on March 26 in West Kazakhstan Region, where suspected drone fragments were found in the Akzhaik District. Authorities at the time also launched an investigation.
