Russian e-commerce giant Ozon is offering sellers the opportunity to store their products at its logistics centers in Kazakhstan's Almaty and Astana cities, as the marketplace looks to strengthen its regional delivery network.

Ozon announced the initiative on its Telegram channel, describing the new arrangement as a secure option for sellers and promising that orders stored in Kazakhstan can be delivered to Russia within just a few days, according to Ozon Marketplace.

According to the company, keeping inventory in Kazakhstan will also help sellers speed up deliveries to local customers while increasing sales in both Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

As part of the launch, Ozon is offering free transportation of shipments to the new warehouses until the end of September. Sellers will be able to store any volume of goods, including bulky items, without having to provide additional documents.

The move comes as Russian e-commerce companies face growing challenges to their logistics infrastructure. In recent months, drone attacks have targeted facilities belonging to major marketplaces, including Ozon and Wildberries.

One such incident occurred in Belgorod, where a drone struck an Ozon sorting center and delivery hub. The incident was followed by reports of a fire and injuries.
