Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has met with Vagit Alekperov, shareholder and founder of Russian oil giant Lukoil, in a high-level consultation over the company’s activities in Kazakhstan and future energy plans.
During the meeting, Alekperov updated the president on Lukoil’s performance in Kazakhstan and shared plans for upcoming projects, The Caspian Post informs via Kazakh media.
A key focus was placed on the Kalamkas-Sea and Khazar developments, part of a major international initiative aimed at tapping new hydrocarbon reserves.
President Tokayev also congratulated Alekperov on the 30th anniversary of Lukoil’s operations in Kazakhstan, praising the company’s enduring contribution to the country’s energy landscape and economic growth.
