New transit flights connecting Russia and Uzbekistan via Kazakhstan could be launched as early as September, opening another convenient air link between the countries.
Kazakhstan’s Pavlodar Region is planning to introduce transit flights from Russia to Uzbekistan through Pavlodar Airport, The Caspian Post reports, citing zakon.kz.
The planned routes are:
Omsk - Pavlodar - Tashkent
Novosibirsk - Pavlodar - Tashkent
The new connections are expected to provide additional travel options between major cities in Russia and Uzbekistan while strengthening Pavlodar’s role as a regional transit hub.
The flights are expected to become possible once the reconstruction of Pavlodar Airport’s runway is completed.
