In Kazakhstan's Turkestan Region, police solved a gold theft from a jewelry workshop worth 9 million KZT, thanks to surveillance cameras.

A local resident reported that unknown suspects broke into the shop and stole gold items, causing losses of around 9 million KZT. Investigation of video footage and other evidence led police to a previously convicted local man, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

During a search, part of the stolen money and other evidence were recovered. The suspect confessed and has been placed in temporary detention while a pre-trial investigation continues. Police are working to clarify all details of the crime.
