Three-Member Family Found Dead in Kazakhstan's Apartment

In Shymkent, Kazakhstan, rescuers have found the bodies of three members of the same family in an apartment in the Vostok residential district.

Emergency services said neighbors raised the alarm after the residents had not been seen for an extended period and failed to respond, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

On February 8 at 16:36 (GMT+5), a call was received by the 112 emergency line, prompting the dispatch of a rescue team. After forcing entry, responders discovered the bodies of three people inside the apartment.

Specialized services are now working at the scene, with authorities establishing the full circumstances of the incident. Preliminary findings suggest the tragedy may have been caused by natural gas poisoning. Officials reported no signs of violent death.

A similar incident was previously reported in Aktobe, where the bodies of a woman and her three underage children were found in a private home. Initial assessments in that case also pointed to possible gas poisoning.

A pre-trial investigation has been launched, with forensic examinations underway. Final conclusions will be made after expert assessments. Local authorities have pledged assistance with funeral arrangements and support for the victim’s mother, who is known to live at a different address.
