Kazakhstan Looks to Boost AI Partnership with China

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has met with Jonathan Choi Koon-shum, emphasizing Kazakhstan’s strong strategic partnership with China and highlighting the success of the One Belt, One Road initiative launched in Astana in 2013.

He also noted China’s role as Kazakhstan’s largest trading partner, with trade turnover reaching record highs annually, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

The Kazakh leader stressed efforts to attract foreign investment and support joint strategic projects, expressing interest in boosting practical cooperation in AI adoption, where China is a global leader.

Choi praised Kazakhstan as a reliable and attractive investment hub, particularly in the financial sector, attributing its appeal to support from Tokayev and Xi Jinping.

The sides also discussed promising cooperation in finance, energy, digitalization, medicine, agriculture, and construction, aiming to strengthen economic and technological ties between the two countries.
