Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has invited US President Donald Trump to pay an official visit to Kazakhstan during a telephone conversation between the two leaders, according to the presidential press service, The Caspian Post reports.
During the call, Tokayev congratulated Trump on the 250th anniversary of US independence, noting that the United States had become a powerful global state within a relatively short period of history,
The two presidents also discussed bilateral economic cooperation and political engagement, exchanging views on ways to further strengthen ties between their countries.
Tokayev emphasized the positive momentum in implementing the key agreements reached during his visit to Washington in November last year.
The conversation concluded with the Kazakh president inviting Trump to make an official visit to Kazakhstan at a time convenient for him.
