Tokayev, Swiss VP Explore New Momentum in Bilateral Ties

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has met with Swiss Vice President Guy Parmelin, highlighting new opportunities to boost political and economic cooperation.

Tokayev emphasized that Switzerland remains one of Kazakhstan’s most important partners in Europe, noting its role as a major investor with $35.8 billion invested since 2005 and nearly 400 Swiss companies currently operating in the country, The Caspian Post informs via Kazakh media.

He stressed that political dialogue between Astana and Bern continues deepening, while economic cooperation is expanding across energy, mining, manufacturing, construction, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, finance, and new technologies.

For his part, Parmelin thanked the Kazakh side for the warm reception and reaffirmed Switzerland’s commitment to strengthening dialogue, expanding investment projects, and supporting new joint initiatives.
