Six people have died in a tragic road accident near Kandyagash in Kazakhstan’s Aktobe region.

The fatal collision occurred on the 94th kilometer of the Aktobe-Astrakhan highway in the Mugalzhar district, where two Toyota Camry cars crashed into each other, Qazinform reports.

All six victims died as a result of the crash.

Police have launched a criminal investigation and are conducting a pre-trial inquiry to determine the circumstances and causes of the accident.

“The criminal case has been opened. A pre-trial investigation is underway to establish all the circumstances of the incident. Police extend condolences to the families and relatives of the victims,” the regional police said.

Police have once again urged motorists to follow traffic regulations, keep within safe speed limits and remain especially vigilant, particularly when traveling on highways.
