Türkiye, Kazakhstan Hold Key Talks During Erdoğan’s Visit - VIDEO

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan arrived in Astana on May 13 for a state visit to Kazakhstan at the invitation of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, as the two countries move to deepen their strategic partnership.

The May 13-14 visit includes high-level talks focused on expanding political, economic and regional cooperation between Kazakhstan and Türkiye. The two leaders are also expected to hold the sixth meeting of the Kazakhstan-Türkiye High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council, The Caspian Post reports via Kazinform.

Erdoğan’s trip comes ahead of an informal summit of the Organization of Turkic States set to take place in Turkistan on May 15, where regional leaders will discuss cooperation under the theme “Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development.”

Astana and Ankara have repeatedly highlighted the growing importance of bilateral ties, with both countries positioning themselves as leading centers of the Turkic world. The upcoming talks are expected to focus on trade, transport, digital technologies and regional connectivity.
